Getting Started

q To help determine the size of gap you may need to fill, use a piece of modeling clay to fill a section of your gap.

q Shut then open your compartment. Remove the clay and view the side profile.

q Match with the many SoffSeal profiles for the one closest to your needs. SoffSeal now offers many custom kits for glass bodies. Call for availability.

Glue or Self Adhesive Applications

q Use clean soft cloth

q Use premium brand label remover or degreaser to prep work area

q Always pre-test any chemical in an inconspicuous area for possible paint reaction

q Make sure area is thoroughly clean and dry before applying glue or self-adhesive weatherstrip

Glue Applications

q Clean area per above instructions

q Recommended adhesive—3 M 8008 (black glue)

q Clean extrusion surface to be bonded with wax and grease remover

q Apply glue only to weatherstrip

q Work approximately 4 to 6 inches at a time

q Use black glue very sparingly- apply to the center of the bonding surface

q If you get black glue on a showing surface, remove immediately with label remover or degreaser, then re-wax affected area

q Black glue will set within minutes
